With this error, our apps will be unable to sync consented users' email address and names to your selected list in MailChimp. 

This is because additional mandatory fields were found: {mailchimp_list_error_fields}. List can only have FNAME as mandatory.
Please delete all additional mandatory fields or select another list.

Once you've followed the steps below, please make sure you check if the issue is resolved by logging into the app admin (Gratisfaction, Social Boost or Scratch and Win!) → Home--> Warning--> Fail! Mailchimp list sync failing--> Verify

To do so:

  • Login to your MailChimp
  • Click on the Audience menu.
  • Click the Audience dashboard.
  • If you have more than one audience, click the Current audience drop-down and choose the one you want to work with.
  • Click the Manage Audience drop-down and choose Signup forms.
  • On the Settings page, click Audience fields and |MERGE| tags.
  • Mark the fields other than First Name as optional

NOTE: Once done, please confirm sync is now active by clicking on the 'Verify’ button after logging into app admin (Gratisfaction, Social Boost or Scratch and Win!) → Home--> Warning--> Fail! Mailchimp list sync failing.
